2007 Looking Out Looking In

Over time, the local parents group in Avonmouth developed into a workable Asset Club. They had helped run a Theatre of Learning and a follow up exhibition. They had presented at conferences regionally and nationally. By early 2007, they were keen to work together as an Asset Club to deliver another Theatre of Learning. 'Looking Out Looking In' was arranged to take place over a two week period in September 2007. An unused part of a local primary school was set as a Cloth Place, complete with farmyard, cafe, kitchen, shops and crypt. Look-out towers were erected outside to provoke a conversation about scale and perspective. As always, the children's activity was filmed and the resulting footage was edited by participant parents and practitioners. A number of stories were produced.
