Mary Burton - a woman of our time. 2013.

Mary Burton, one of the seventeen members of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission speaks about her relationship with the ending of apartheid and the Black Sash.
Mary arrived in Cape Town from Sao Paulo in 1961. She was born in Argentina and grew up in Brazil becoming a South African citizen in 1994.
The Black Sash describes itself, now, as a non-government organisation working to secure human rights. From its inception in 1955 until 1990 Black Sash played a small but significant role in South Africa's transition to freedom.
